THE CITY IS YOURS

Thompkins Square park / Grace Space, New York City
July 31st, 2021This performance was the result of a 2-week residency at Grace Space in the lower east side of NYC.  The project examined stories about the history of the neighborhood and presented data about some of the hopes, dreams, and fears of the people of NYC.

The performance started with an unsanctioned parade through the streets from Ave C to Tompkins Square Park. Of course Ratsy the unofficial mascot of NYC was there, and Manhattan borough president of Gale Brewer dropped by to wish us well!
