Data Vandals Newsstand

As part of the MTA’s Vacant Unit Activation Program, the Data Vandals created a data-art gallery on the downtown 6-train platform at 51st & Lexington.

When the space is open, it is a place for conversation, featuring rotating surveys, changing exhibitions, in-person events, talks, music, and a free newspaper

Riders can share their experiences with others and build a new community in an unusual place in the city. Check out our survey results section to track how the conversation is flowing.

When closed, the outside mural details  New York’s history and showcases data and facts for the 52,000 straphangers that pass by daily.
