The Great London Survey
LONDON DATA WEEK

July 7-11, 2025

Supported by Flourish

Huge thanks to our friends who helped out!!

For London Data Week, we created a mobile data kiosk that drove around central London over 2 days at 6 locations collecting opinions on what life is like in London today.

Created in collaboration with Flourish, part of Canva, our goal was to engage Londoners in conversations through a fun and interactive survey designed to solicit opinion on subjects that would be relevant to any Londoner on 8 varied subjects:
  • Elizabeth line
  • Cycle Lanes
  • Foxes
  • The Royals
  • Apologizing for everything
  • Greggs Sausage Roll
  • London Billionaires
  • Tourists

Participation was easy – we handed people a sticker sheet and they placed them on a poster with a matrix between love & hate, classy & tacky.
Our kiosk was made out of a Piaggio Ape, a 3-wheeled Italian delivery vehicle from the 1980s and was coated with interesting statistics about the city.

Over the 4 days we had about 500 people participate. Below you’ll find photos and some insights about each location and some overview of the results.

The Survey

Poster Design

  • Poster designed to solicit opinions
  • Fun and intuitive design
  • Cartogram map to show location of participants

We created this poster as a test of how to engage with more people through an intuitive but multidimentional way.

We found that young people instantly understood the design and older generations could also quickly grasp it after a rudimentary explanation.
Sticker Design

  • Stickers designed to create a diversity of opinions
  • Fun but representing different attutudes
  • Write your own!

Creating the right categories was difficult, as each needed to be general enough so that anyone in London would quickly understand the subject, but also solicit a variety of opinions. We chose these categories because they all mean something about life in London today.  We also included an option to write in your own option!
